Who We are in Christ

This powerful message takes us on a journey of discovering our true identity in Christ through Paul's letters, particularly Ephesians chapter 1. We're challenged to move beyond simply knowing Bible stories to understanding the revolutionary reality of what happened when we became believers. The central focus is on those transformative phrases 'in Christ,' 'in Him,' and 'in whom' that appear over 130 times in Paul's writings. These aren't just religious phrases—they describe our actual spiritual position and everything we possess because of what Jesus accomplished. We learn that when we made Jesus Lord, four incredible things happened: we were saved, born again (re-fathered), received eternal life as a present possession, and became a new creation in Christ. This isn't about feeling saved or trying harder to be good—it's about recognizing that God sees us through the blood of Jesus, through the cross, through the resurrection. The prayer in Ephesians 1 becomes our roadmap for breakthrough, asking God for the spirit of wisdom and revelation so our eyes can truly see who we are in Christ. The most liberating truth? Our old sinful self was crucified with Christ, and now we're seated with Him in heavenly places, far above every problem and circumstance. This means we're not fighting for victory—we're fighting from a place of victory that's already been won.
