Stretch Yourself

This powerful message centers on the concept of spiritual stretching—stepping beyond our comfort zones to embrace the fullness of what God has prepared for us. Drawing from 1 Kings 17, we encounter Elijah stretching himself over the widow's son, demonstrating faith without precedent. He had no 'law of first mention' to guide him; no one had been raised from the dead before. Yet he stretched himself anyway. This becomes a profound metaphor for our own faith journey: God is calling us to attempt things we've never done, to believe for miracles we've never seen, and to step into spheres of influence we never imagined. The message challenges us to examine whether we're truly willing—not just saying the words, but genuinely ready to jump into the 'pigsty' if God asks. We learn that there are decades when nothing seems to happen, and then suddenly there are weeks where decades of breakthrough occur. God accelerates His purposes at the speed of truth when we align our hearts with intentional faith. The testimony of miraculous healings, governmental favor, and divine appointments illustrates that when we make ourselves available, our metron—our sphere of influence geographically, socially, and functionally—expands beyond our wildest expectations. This isn't about age or ability; it's about availability and willingness to be stretched.
