The Shift: Spiritual Awakening
The birth of Jesus Christ stands as the greatest spiritual awakening in human history, marking a divine shift that changed everything. This message explores how God's intervention through the virgin birth wasn't just a historical event—it was the culmination of seven covenants stretching from Adam to the New Covenant in Christ. We discover that spiritual awakenings don't happen in the places we expect; they occur in obscure locations like Bethlehem, through ordinary people like Mary and Joseph. The profound truth is that it doesn't matter when Jesus was born—what matters is when we find Him. This awakening reveals five types of people who respond to God's movement: those entrusted with the vision who become carriers, those who are ignorant and oblivious, the traditionalists who try to stop it, the terminators who seek to destroy it, and the investors who worship and bring substance to honor God's work. We're reminded that every spiritual movement faces the danger of becoming a monument and eventually a mausoleum if we don't continually press into God's presence. The challenge before us is to recognize what God is doing now, to become carriers of His vision, and to invest ourselves fully in the spiritual awakening that's coming. The same Spirit that conceived Christ in Mary and raised Him from the dead is available to us today, calling us to embrace the shift and participate in the next great move of God.
